SO WHAT IS "MEDIEVAL"?
Also known as the Dark or Middle ages, the medieval period is the second of Europe's three major historical periods, in between Antiquity and the Modern Period. The medieval period itself is divided up into three sections by the English-speaking historians as 'Early', 'High',and 'Late'. Many historians define the medieval period as between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance[1], though there is no date set in stone. Most people associate this era with castles and knights, but these were a small part of the medieval experience.
